Sylon® Single-sided Moisture-wicking Polyester yarn —— Rapid Moisture-wicking, Dry and Comfortable
Single-sided moisture-wicking fabric was initially developed with a double-layer structure of polypropylene (PP) and moisture-wicking polyester. The PP layer is placed at the bottom, while the polyester layer is on the surface. Sweat is conducted from the PP layer to the polyester layer for diffusion, leaving no residue in the PP layer, which remains dry and provides a comfortable feeling for the skin. This type of fabric is particularly suitable for the development of sportswear.
However, during the processing of this fabric, there are some drawbacks. For example, polypropylene cannot be dyed, so the bottom layer can only be left white. Moreover, PP is not heat-resistant, and the fabric cannot undergo high-temperature setting, resulting in poor dimensional stability. Low-temperature setting also causes many inconveniences in the fabric processing.
Sylon® Single-sided Moisture-wicking Polyester Fiber overcomes many of the disadvantages of polypropylene single-sided moisture-wicking fibers. It can be subjected to high-temperature setting and dyeing, making it more convenient to process and use, and reducing costs.
Sylon® Single-sided Moisture-wicking Polyester Fiber is a water-repellent polyester low-elasticity yarn with a lotus leaf effect. This is achieved by incorporating water-repellent materials during the manufacturing process of polyester fibers to simulate the water-repellent effect of polypropylene. Pre-setting of the greige fabric is recommended for better performance, and vigorous post-treatment should be avoided to prevent damage to the moisture-wicking effect.
The main specifications of Sylon® Single-sided Moisture-wicking Polyester Fiber are as follows:
1.Polyester DTY: 30D~150D, capable of producing high-elasticity single-sided moisture-wicking polyester yarns.
2.100% Polyester Yarn: 32S~80S, available in various specifications and colors as required.
